NIU Canada has a no risk purchase policy. If our products don't meet your expectations, we'll take them back. If you live near one of our retailers, you can also test ride a NIU bike or scooter for free.
As a distributor, we work directly with NIU to distribute their products in Canada and the United States. This return policy only applies if the product was originally purchased from us or one of our authorized dealers.
KQi / BQi / UQi Series
Brand-new, Used, Unopened in Original Packaging
Return Conditions
- Must be in original sealed packaging, unopened and unused
- Must include the original receipt, all accessories, and documentation
Return Period
- Must be made within 14 days of receipt of product
Refund Amount
- Refund will be made in the same way as the original payment method minus both ways shipping or delivery fees (if applicable) plus 3% credit card fees. Any product returned with an order that used a discount code will have the entire discount code value subtracted from the refund value, whether you return one product or multiple product .

10 to 200KM Displayed on the Odometer
Return Conditions

Over 200KM Displayed on the Odometer
- A return is not possible except in EXTREME cases of breakage/malfunction covered by our warranty, and then only after receipt of our approval for the return.

- In-Store Purchase. Refund will be made in the same way as the original payment method. Twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from the refund. MQi/NQi/XQi Series
MQi/NQi/XQi models are non-returnable for whatever reason. In situations in which there’s a clear technical problem with a new product, we will gladly fix it as per our warranty policy.

- Vehicles that legally qualify as motor vehicles and require a driver's license to drive (ex. M-Series, N-Series, X-Series, etc.)
Shipping / Delivery Fees
The round trip shipping or delivery cost will be deducted from the quoted refund prior to refund.
Shipping/delivery costs will be covered for any pre-damaged, defective, or incorrect NIU products reported to our support service within 14 days. Customers will be responsible for return shipping fees beyond the 14 days.
Product Damaged In Transit / Incorrect Products
Report any incorrect or damaged products to our Customer Service.
Shipping Fees
If product is incorrect or damaged in transit and is reported to our customer service within 14 days of delivery, we will cover return shipping costs. Customers will be responsible for return shipping fees beyond the 14 days.

Pre-Order / Back Order
Canceling a pre-order or back-order without paying fees is possible if the order hasn’t yet been shipped or delivered.
Canceling or modifying a pre-order or back order without paying fees any time after it has shipped or delivered is not possible. If the order has been shipped, the round trip shipping fee + 3% credit card processing fee will be deducted from the refund.
Defective Products
If you purchased the product from us:
If you discover what you believe to be a product defect, please contact us. Our team will assist you with any issues you may have with a product. If the product is defective, we'll determine if it needs to be repaired or replaced. If the product needs to be replaced, we'll send you instructions on how to return it.
Defects, if any, will be covered under the terms of our product warranty. Please refer to our warranty information and other documentation that came with your product.
Shipping Charges
Shipping/delivery charges will be covered for all damaged, defective or incorrect NIU products reported to us within 14 days. After this period, you will be responsible for the shipping charges. We strongly recommend that you carefully inspect and fully utilize any new product during the initial 14-day period.
If you purchased the product from a reseller or third party (e.g. local retailer, Amazon, Best Buy, etc.):
If the original purchase was made from a third-party reseller, please contact that reseller. They will process your warranty claim for you.
In-Stock Orders / In-Transit Products
If the product you ordered is in stock, your order will be shipped out as fast as possible.
Canceling an order without paying fees is possible if the order hasn’t yet been shipped or delivered.
Canceling or modifying an order without paying fees any time after it has shipped or delivered is not possible. If possible, refuse the shipment when the courier service attempts delivery. This will reroute the package back to our facilities. If this is not possible and the order must be delivered, please mention that to our support service and make sure to not unpack or use the product. When the product is returned, received, and inspected by our team, the round trip shipping fees + credit card processing fee of 3% will be deducted from your refund and the balance will be credited back to your original method of payment.
Refurbished / Open Box Products
You have 14 calendar days from the date of receipt to return a refurbished or open box product.
Only products purchased directly from NIU Canada, either online or from a participating retailer, may be returned. NIU products purchased from other retailers must be returned in accordance with their return and refund policies.
Before returning a refurbished product to NIU, please ensure that you have:
- Received an RMA number from us (issued upon request).
- Included all cables, charger and documentation that were included when you received it.
- Used all original packaging.
Refunds will be made in the same manner as the original method of payment, less shipping and handling charges, plus a 3% credit card processing fee.
Returning a Product
If you bought the product from our online store, you can either:
A – Return the product by mail (only online orders mailed to your home are eligible). If you wish to return an eligible item by mail, please submit us your return request. Our customer service will be happy to assist you. Once your request has been validated, you will receive the shipping label and return instructions.
B – Bring it to a designated NIU Canada retail store. Please submit us your return request. Once your request has been validated, we will let you know which store to return it to.
Note: If the return period has ended or if the product does not comply with the return policy or fails inspection, it cannot be returned.
Required for in-store returns:
- Original receipt
- Debit or Credit card used for the purchase
- Product meeting the requirements of its individual return policy
If you bought the product from a reseller or a third party:
You must return the product to the reseller or platform where you bought it (ex local dealer, Amazon, Best Buy, etc.)
Exchanging a Product
If you bought your product online:
We do not accept exchanges by post.
You can purchase a replacement product online and return the original product for a refund. Please note that you will have to pay for the round-trip shipping costs +3% credit card fees, unless you are returning the product to us within the 14-day return period because it is damaged, defective, or incorrect.
Personalized products and special orders are not eligible for exchange.
If you bought your product in-store:
Only the store where you purchased the product will be able to exchange it. Refunds are issued to the original payment method you used at the time of your purchase.
If you bought the product from a reseller or a third party:
You must exchange the product with the retailer or platform where you purchased it (e.g. a local retailer, Amazon, Best Buy, etc.)
Missing Items on Returns
Any missing parts, accessories or documentation must be received at your expense within 10 days of returning the product. Missing product will be deducted from the refund if not returned.
Refund Methods
- Refunds will be issued via the original payment method.
- Credit and Debit refunds will be issued to the card.
- Bank account payments will be deposited back into the account.
- PayPal refunds will be refunded directly to the account.
- Cash transactions will be reimbursed cash. Refunds over 200$ will be sent via e-transfer.
- Lenders refunds (ex Affirm, RBC, Shop Pay, etc.) will be credited to your account. If you have already made monthly payments, those will be refunded to you by the lender.
NOTE: Bulk purchases and special orders cannot be refunded. One refund per customer is allowed as per our refund policy.
Refund Processing Time
In-Store
Once the inspection is complete, a refund will immediately be issued via the original payment method.
Shipping/Carriers Services
Online purchases will be refunded within 3 days of inspection. Refund confirmation will be sent.
Local Pickup Service
Online purchases will be refunded within 3 days of inspection. Refund confirmation will be sent. Once the inspection is complete, you will need to go to the store to obtain a refund using your original method of payment.
NOTE: Refunds can take up to 15 business days for banks to process. Contact your bank directly for information or concerns.
Credit Notes
Credit is issued via Gift Card.
