NIU products are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This warranty begins on the date of receipt and applies to NIU products sold or distributed directly by NIU Canada.

Transferable Warranty

The warranty can be transferred from the original owner to a new owner provided the original invoice is included in the resale.

The warranty can only be honored with the original proof of purchase.

2. Convenient Van Pick-up/Drop-off: In select cities, a dedicated van can be arranged to pick up and/or drop off your product. Once the repair is complete, a NIU representative or authorized affiliate will return your product, or you can conveniently pick it up yourself.

3. Mobile Repair: In select cities, a specialized mobile repair service is available. A skilled mechanic, equipped with all necessary tools, can conveniently repair your product on-site. If the claim is valid, travel costs for the mobile mechanic will be covered.

4. Do-it-yourself: If applicable, we may provide you with a replacement part or accessory along with detailed installation instructions, allowing you to take care of the replacement yourself.

NOTE: Any labor costs incurred for a do-it-yourself service are not our responsibility. You may need to return the defective part before we can send you a new part or product. If you require any assistance, please contact us.

Limitation of Responsibility

The warranty does not cover any direct, indirect, special, or unintended loss, expense, or damage resulting from the use or inability to use the product.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Lost profits or business income
  • Damaged goodwill or similar losses
  • Foregone savings or expected gains
  • Property damage or loss
  • Contractual losses
  • Inability to use the product
  • Loss or damage of data or information
  • Any extraordinary, indirect, consequential, or purely financial damages, losses, expenses, or costs

What the Warranty Covers

NIU offers a comprehensive warranty encompassing both components and workmanship for NIU branded batteries and chargers.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover
  • Regular wear and tear
  • Improper upkeep
  • Incorrect repairs or follow-up maintenance performed by a person other than one of our representatives or under their direct supervision (online, phone, in-person, etc.)
  • Errors made while adhering to the instructions and warnings provided in the user manual or given by a NIU representative (whether spoken or written)
  • Alteration of components, parts, or accessories not originally sold with the product
  • Damage resulting from an accident, fire, misuse, abuse, theft, or negligence
  • Usage for purposes other than the product's intended design
  • Rust, corrosion, or defects caused by extreme environmental conditions to which the product could be exposed (e.g., ice, snow, seawater, etc.)
  • Case cracking caused by excessive weight or load
  • User manuals contain additional disclaimers and limitations of liability that are integrated into the warranty. It is the responsibility of the product owner to peruse the user manuals.

Warranty Claims

If you submit a claim to us during the warranty period, we will take the following actions based on the situation:

1. Restore the product by utilizing new or previously utilized components that match the performance and dependability of brand-new parts.

2. Substitution of the product will involve providing an identical model or, upon your agreement, a product with similar functionality. The replacement will be constructed using new and/or previously utilized components that are equivalent in performance and dependability.

3. Alternatively, you have the option to exchange the product for a complete refund of the purchase price.

In the event of part or product replacement or a refund, the replacement product becomes your rightful property, while the refunded or replaced product remains our our ownership.

Warranty Service

The warranty we provide remains applicable solely to items purchased directly from us. We are eager to extend our support and assist you in resolving any concerns.

We offer the following warranty services:

1. Convenient Drop-off: You have the option to bring your product to a NIU store or an authorized affiliate for repair. Once the repair is completed, you can retrieve your product promptly.

2. Secure Mail-in: We may request you to ship your product to us for warranty coverage. We will provide a return label and, if necessary, packaging materials to facilitate the shipping process. After the repair, NIU or an authorized affiliate will promptly return your product to you. If you return a defective product within the specified 14-day period outlined in our return policy, we will cover the shipping fees if your claim is valid. After this timeframe, you will be responsible for the shipping fees. We highly recommend carefully inspecting and utilizing any new product to its fullest extent during the initial 14-day period.

Limitation of Responsibility

The warranty does not extend coverage to any direct, indirect, exceptional, or unintended loss, expense, or harm arising from the utilization or incapability to use a product.

Other Brands

The warranty provided by NIU for refurbished or open box products is applicable solely to NIU branded products that we directly sell and distribute.

Other brands, even if packaged or sold with NIU equipment, are covered under their respective manufacturer or distributor warranties. In the event of any claim, it is necessary to contact the manufacturers or distributors of those specific products.
